Baskimo dog breed is Hybrid dog cross between American Eskimo Dog and Basset Hound. Baskimo is Medium in size. Fur of Baskimo is medium and soft . Basic origin of Baskimo is none because Baskimo is not a pure breed, it is hybrid dog, a mix of American Eskimo and Basset Hound.. Baskimo is Good With Children and Good With Other Animals and Easiest to train is commonly Protective, Alert, Friendly, Intelligent. Baskimo inherits its most qualities from American Eskimo. Baskimo is an affectionate, loving dog. Hardy and playful, they are excellent with children. Charming and alert, because of the dog's high intelligence and its willingness to please, it is easy to train and often rank among the top scorers in obedience trials. According to its masters, he loves to go on walks and run around outside, and he especially enjoys the snow. He is extremely loyal, affectionate, curious, friendly and intelligent. He barks only when strangers or other dogs are around, and his bark is low and resonant.
Baskimo is available in black, white and tawny colors.

Adult Male of Baskimo is about 12-18 Kg and adult female of Baskimo is about 10-15 Kg in Weight.
Height of Baskimo is commonly 25-32 cm.

Baskimo is a healthier breed like other hybrid breeds. However Baskimo has tendency to suffer from ear diseases.  

Appearance of Baskimo

Baskimo has different appearance from its both parents American Eskimo and Basset Hound. However it has few similarities with Basset Hound like longer flappy ear and longer body. Baskimo has no resemblance with American Eskimo.

Training of Baskimo

Baskimo require training in early age like other hybrid dogs. Baskimo is easy to train.  It learns basic commands such as sit, stay, come easily. Behavior training is also very important for your Baskimo.  Behavior training prevents and or corrects bad habits of your puppy or dog. Behavior and basic commands training for your Baskimo should must on these lines. Do not get impatient. You will probably have to repeat the command many times. Never use negative reinforcement. Do not call your dog to come to you for punishment because this will teach your dog not to come on command. Be sure to keep any frustration out of the tone of your voice. If you feel yourself becoming frustrated, take a break. Your dog can sense this and will start to associate training with your unhappiness. You cannot hide your frustration from a dog. You cannot pretend. Dogs can feel human emotion, so stay relaxed, firm and confident.
